Other things I do differently:
Engagement sessions are always included in my packages. It can be intimidating to be in front of a camera, with a stranger on the other side. To have your picture taken is to be vulnerable, always. You’re putting your image in someone’s hands - this is why, as a society, we develop the habit to smile for photos. The staged smile gives the person being photographed a false sense of control. Getting comfortable with your photographer takes a while, we’re all humans. So it’s better to go through the awkward stage at the beginning of your engagement session, than on your wedding day!Â
Two photographers on your wedding day! I always bring an associate photographer with me on your big day. Why? To ensure that we’ll have everything covered! From both partners getting ready, to their POV’s during the ceremony, to being able to capture your reception setting empty, before your guests arrive, and also, so I can have a pee break without missing any special moments!
Flexibility: planning your wedding is basically a full-time job. On top of your full-time jobs. With that in mind, I don’t want to add ANY stress to my couples. If it rains on their engagement session day? Let’s reschedule, no problem! Need a payment plan? Absolutely! Let’s figure out what works together!
